I’m nowhere near pro pace. What would comparing laps actually tell me?
You don’t need to match a pro’s lap time to learn from it. Comparing laps can show where your speeds differ and where the gap grows, giving you a specific corner to review.
If we’re on different bikes and tires, is the comparison even useful?
Yes, but those differences matter. Use the comparison to understand where your laps differ, rather than treating someone else’s braking points or corner speeds as targets you should copy.
What can this show me that my lap timer doesn’t already tell me?
Your lap timer gives you a time. LapSnap lets you compare laps side by side and see which parts of the track account for the difference.
I’ve looked at telemetry before and had no idea what it meant. Why would this be different?
Seeing two laps together gives the numbers context. Start with one corner and compare the speeds through it. There’s still some interpretation involved, but you have a concrete difference to look at.
What if there’s no pro lap for the track I ride?
You can still compare your own laps to see what changed between them. Pro reference laps are an additional option for the motorcycle tracks covered by the available data.
Am I going to spend my time between sessions messing with an app?
You can review your sessions later at home, too. Setup and importing depend on your device, so get familiar with the process before your track day.
I only do a few track days a year. Is this worth paying for?
